As you work on your Biography Project, you should be able to:

  1. Understand the assignment (task).

My classmates could not understand my presentation because I jumped from topic to topic. I didn’t use the headings or a timeline to help me organize my presentation.

Visuals
I didn’t prepare any visuals.
I had visuals (a poster, diorama, portrait or journal) but my presentation didn’t match it very well.
My visuals added to my presentation by helping my classmates see what I was talking about. I pointed to things on/in my visuals during the presentation to help my classmates understand.

Mechanics
My finished project had four or more spelling or grammatical errors. When I spoke to the class, I made several grammatical errors.

Delivery
I mumbled and spoke too quietly for students in the back of class to hear me. I said several words wrong. It was really hard to understand my presentation.

My voice was clear. I pronounced most words correctly. My classmates understood most of my presentation easily.
I used a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms. My classmates understood my entire presentation easily. I remembered to look up at the audience while I was speaking.

Process
While I did my research, I was not organized. I did not use my time well. I had to be reminded to focus at least once every time we worked on research in class. My notes were very messy.
